In the Vietnam War there was a variety of artillery used. The first type of artillery used was rifles used by all sides of the war. Some of the rifles used by armies were the M-1 Carbine, L1A1 SLR, M1 Garand, M14, and the M16A1. Another type of gun used were pistols. The kinds of pistols used were Browning High Power Pistol, Colt M19, Colt Model, Colt Commander, M1917 Revolver, Walther PPK, and the Smith&Wesson. All armies best gun used were the sub-machine guns. The machine guns used were the Thompson, M3 grease gun, Swedish K, Mac 10, Uzi, F1, Ownen gun, and the L2A1. The armies used various types of shotguns including the Winchester 1912, Ithaca 37, Remington 870, Winchester 1897, and the Remington 11-48. Each sides best carry weapon was their explosives. The types of explosives they used was the fragmentation grenade, M61 fragmentation grenade, WP M34 grenade, M18 grenade, claymore, and the M67 grenade.
