The North Vietnamese and Viet Cong won in victory over the Americans and Allies. There was a total of  5,397,819 men who died including soldiers and civilians in the Vietnam War. There were 58,220 americans who died, and there were 303,644 that were wounded. Vietnam Republic had a total of 316,000 that were killed. There was a total of 1,170,000 wounded soldiers. North Vietnam had a total of 1,176,000 military members dead. They had a total of 600,000 plus soldiers wounded.
